In order to provide clear vision at all distances, the Laclarée eyeglasses feature variable-focus lenses whose focusing power automatically adapts according to the viewing distance. A distance sensor makes possible this automatic control of the power.

The eyeglasses are powered with two lightweight rechargeable batteries. All electronic hardware is miniaturized and inserted in the eyeglass frame. The Laclarée technology is compatible with a very broad range of eyeglass frames to meet all possible styles.
Besides, the optical power range is configurable. Thus, the addition provided to correct presbyopia can be adjusted to match the required near vision correction at all stages of presbyopia.
